The Volcanic Biome is the third biome introduced in 99 Nights in the Forest, joining the Forest Biome and Snow Biome. It offers unique terrain, hazards, and resources that distinguish it from other biomes, providing a challenging environment for players to explore.
- Part 1 Update: September 13, 2025 – Initial release of the Volcanic Biome, featuring basic terrain, lava pools, and early biome-specific resources.
- Part 2 Update: September 20, 2025 – Expanded the biome with additional structures, enemies, and rare loot to enhance exploration and progression.
Biome Features
The Volcanic Biome is characterized by jagged rocks, flowing lava, volcanic ash, and high temperatures that can affect player stamina and health if proper precautions are not taken. Players can encounter unique enemies and gather exclusive resources that are critical for crafting advanced items and progressing in the game.
Biome Generation
After the Snow Biome was re-added on October 1, 2025, there is speculation among the community that the Volcanic Biome has a 50% chance to generate instead of the Snow Biome when players enter the biome area. This randomization adds unpredictability and replay value, encouraging players to adapt their strategies depending on the biome they encounter.
