Armor is a critical piece of defensive equipment in 99 Nights in the Forest that provides protection by reducing the damage you take from enemy attacks. Wearing armor significantly increases your survivability against hostile creatures like Wolves, Bears, and especially the relentless Cultists who raid your camp.
How to Get Armor
Unlike tools or weapons that can sometimes be found in chests, armor is not lootable or craftable. The only way to obtain armor in the game is by trading with a specific NPC.
- Trading with the Pelt Trader: Armor sets are sold exclusively by the Pelt Trader. This wandering merchant appears at random times and locations on the map and will trade his powerful gear in exchange for animal Pelts. Stockpiling valuable pelts is essential to be ready for his arrival.

If you play the Brawler class, definitely consider using the Riot Shield. Approach enemy with shield up to tank the first hit, switch to weapon and hit them 2 times, then shield up again and repeat. It preserves your health a lot better when it comes to bears especially.
Honestly, Nobody likes the Riot Shield. It doesn’t work, If you know how it works can u please tell me?
