Bears are one of the most powerful and dangerous forms of wildlife in 99 Nights in the Forest. They are formidable, high-tier Enemies that represent a significant combat challenge. Encounters with Bears are far more dangerous than with Wolves and require serious preparation to survive. They are a source of the game’s most valuable animal byproducts, making the high risk of Hunting them a potentially high reward.
Appearance and Behavior
Bears are large, lumbering, and incredibly powerful animals. Their key characteristics are a massive health pool and devastatingly powerful melee attacks that can kill an unarmored player in just a few hits. They are extremely territorial and will charge players on sight, proving much more durable and stronger than any wolf.
Location
Bears are rare spawns compared to Wolves and are typically found in remote or high-value areas. They can be found roaming in mountainous regions or, more importantly, may serve as the primary guardian for a Cave where a missing child is held. In these cases, the Bear is the “key holder” and must be defeated to obtain the Cave Key.
Combat and Strategy
Confronting a Bear is exceptionally risky and should only be done with good equipment.
- Ranged Combat: The safest and most effective strategy is to use the highest-damage firearm available, preferably the Rifle. Players should maintain as much distance as possible, using terrain like large rocks to gain a safe vantage point.
