“A wilderness warrior who commands the creatures of the forest, the Beastmaster turns tamed wolves into a deadly pack capable of overwhelming even the strongest foes. With strategy, positioning, and meat to spare, this class becomes an unstoppable summoner.”
The Beastmaster is a Summoner / High DPS class in 99 Nights in the Forest, specializing in commanding wolves to overwhelm enemies. Starting with a Good Taming Flute, the class can summon wolves as long as the player is holding a flute and has 3 Steaks in their sack. Beastmaster can maintain up to 5 summons, creating an extremely strong early-game and late-game damage engine.
At max level, the first summoned wolf becomes an Alpha Wolf, providing an immediate damage lead from the start of each run. Skilled players can use summons to eliminate enemies rapidly while taking minimal risks themselves.
While difficult for beginners due to positioning and AI manipulation, the Beastmaster is one of the strongest classes in the game when mastered.
Acquisition & Cost
The Beastmaster can be purchased for 400 Diamonds.

Strategic Analysis & Gameplay
The Beastmaster is built for:
- Summoner-focused combat
- High wolf damage output
- Safe clearing through pets
- Enemy marking with ranged weapons
- Minimal ammo consumption
The class excels at eliminating tough enemies like Bears and clearing Cultist Strongholds efficiently.
Wolves automatically attack enemies who:
- Are hit by the player
- Attack the player
This makes Beastmaster synergize extremely well with:
- High ammo weapons (Revolver, Snowball, Crossbow, Kunai)
- Riot Shield (for tanking and marking targets)
Careful positioning allows wolves to take aggro while the player stays safe.
Tips & Tricks
- Stand between the enemy and your wolves, shoot once, then jump backward—wolves will grab aggro reliably.
- Summons can block bullets, so reposition if needed.
- Wolves do not automatically switch back to previous targets—finish enemies one by one.
- Wolves struggle to hit Mammoths and Hellephants due to hitboxes.
- The whistle mechanic does not work properly on the second floor of Cultist Stronghold—use steaks upstairs to summon instead.
- Farm Steaks by killing Bears and Alpha Wolves, then tame/release wolves repeatedly to level quickly.
- Most of your DPS comes from wolves—use your weapons sparingly for marking targets.
- With an Alpha Wolf at level 3, early-game becomes extremely easy.
