The Engineer is a limited-time class that can be purchased for 1,000 Diamonds. Upon spawning, the Engineer starts with a Candy Turret and a Hammer, allowing them to craft additional Candy Turrets using Gears.
Gears are special items obtained by converting scrap at a rate of 1 Scrap = 1 Gear. These gears are required to craft and maintain turrets.
When fully upgraded, the Engineer’s turrets gain several enhancements:
- Turrets spawn with 15 additional ammo
- Increased firing speed
- A chance to receive bonus scrap when killing cultists or opening chests
Tips & Tricks
- Teammates can assist by gathering scrap into a pile, allowing the Engineer to efficiently convert it into gears.
- Increased starting ammo reduces the need to frequently refill turrets with rifle ammo.
- The bonus scrap chance from chests makes this class especially effective for exploration-focused players.
- While the faster firing rate is subtle, the scrap drops from cultists are reliable, ensuring consistent scrap income during raids.
- Leveling up the Engineer is difficult to optimize, as progress depends heavily on scrap availability and how many enemies die to turrets.
- A practical leveling method is repeatedly rejoining the game and placing turrets near Dino Kid’s cave to farm wolves.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Spawns with a turret, making it highly effective during cultist raids
- Level 2 and 3 upgrades improve scrap acquisition
- Strong enough to quickly eliminate large enemies, such as bears, when saving kids
- Can be used to create an effective AFK base
Cons
- High cost at 1,000 Diamonds
- Limited-time availability
- Turrets require rifle ammo to recharge (12 ammo per ammo box)
- Not cost-efficient overall
- Poor turret targeting awareness
Trivia

- Prior to a balance buff, turrets could only be placed near the campfire or the North Pole (once secured), similar to other blueprints
- Turrets can mistakenly target deer and player pets, gradually wasting ammo
- The Engineer is the second class represented as an entity, with the Alien being the first
