The Horse
The Horse is a passive entity in 99 Nights in the Forest, known for its calm demeanor and connection to the Furniture Trader.
Overview
The Horse only spawns alongside the Furniture Trader and serves as the trader’s mode of transport. It resembles a typical horse, featuring a brown body, white calves, brown hooves, and a dark brown mane. The horse pulls a large purple wagon filled with various pieces of furniture and decorative items.
Behavior
The Horse travels alongside the Furniture Trader, stopping occasionally to graze on grass. It does not attack or flee, maintaining a fully passive nature throughout interactions.
Drops
Upon death, the Horse can drop the following items:
- Steak (multiple pieces)
This makes it a useful source of food, as it is one of only three entities that can drop more than one Steak.
Trivia
- The Horse is the second passive entity that can be killed, following the Bunny.
- If killed, it will respawn when the Furniture Trader returns during their next visit.
- When the Horse is killed, its wagon disappears, though the Furniture Trader continues to offer furniture for sale.
- The Horse has poor pathfinding, often getting stuck on trees, cabins, or even glitching through walls into buildings.
- Paint Brushes and a painted sign reading “FREE” can spawn on the side of the horse carriage.
- It can be used for farming Steak, making it a practical, if unfortunate, target for food collection.
