The Potion Making update for 99 Nights in the Forest was released on October 25, 2025, as Part 2 of the ongoing Halloween event. It introduces a new limited-time mechanic allowing players to brew potions using a cauldron, combining ingredients for random effects that can be beneficial or harmful. Successful brews also reward 5 candies, which can be spent in the Halloween Shop.
Cauldron and Brewing Process
The Cauldron is a new structure placed next to the Crafting Bench at your camp. Each time you interact with it, the Cauldron displays the specific 3 ingredients (with quantities) required for that brew.
Steps to Brew:
- Check the ingredients shown above the Cauldron.
- Gather the exact ingredients and quantities needed.
- Drop them into the Cauldron.
- On success: Receive 1 potion and 5 candies (automatically collected after 40 seconds if unattended).
- On failure: The Cauldron explodes, consuming items and slightly knocking back the player.
- Drink the potion for a random effect (advantage or disadvantage).
Stepping into the Cauldron applies a brief Poison effect.
