The Ruby Chest is the rarest chest in 99 Nights in the Forest, typically found in the deepest parts of the forest and the Cultist Stronghold. When opened, it rewards the player and then downgrades to a Gold Chest, so subsequent players will see it as a Gold Chest. Ruby Chests can be farmed by repeatedly raiding the Cultist Stronghold. While they can appear as early as Level 2–3 Campfire, they mostly spawn in the deepest areas (Level 6), and can also appear in the Squid Kid’s or Koala Kid’s cave. They are guaranteed to spawn once the Cultist Stronghold is successfully raided. Visually, the chest is a large black chest made of multiple scales with a red trim and lock.
