The Snowman is a 3-star mid-tier permanent class costing 100 Diamonds, occasionally discounted to 80 Diamonds. It specializes in sustained ranged damage and crowd control, spawning players with a Snowball Cannon and Beanie. The Snowball Cannon features unlimited regenerating ammo, fast fire rate, and approximately 5 damage per snowball with a 30-ammo capacity. Player calculations estimate around 7 damage per shot and ~8.5 DPS at base level (7 × 30 / 24.5 seconds reload time). The Beanie provides warmth resistance (equivalent to two warmth icons), slowing the freezing meter in snow conditions.

It ranks in B-tier overall, suitable for solo and group play, comparable to the Alien class but with lower damage traded for a slowing effect after six hits.

Acquisition

Purchased from the Class Shop in the lobby for 100 Diamonds (80 on sale). Diamonds are earned via Cultist Strongholds, badges, and Daily Quests (5 Diamonds each, e.g., reroll 3 missions, chased by deer at full speed, open 3 ruby chests, revive S times per round). The shop rotates every 24 hours; first reroll free, subsequent cost Diamonds or Robux.

Level skips: 250 Robux to Level 2, 400 Robux to Level 3 (Level 2 prerequisite).

Progression

LevelSnowball Hits RequiredPerk
10 (Spawn)Snowball Cannon (30 ammo, ~5-7 damage/shot, fast fire rate, auto-regenerates) and Beanie (warmth resistance)
2500Landing 6 snowballs on a target slows it for a few seconds (does not work on Deer, Owl, Ram)
31,000Snowball Cannon regenerates faster (~20 seconds 0-30 ammo vs. base ~24.5 seconds)

Progression via hitting enemies; optimal via wolf packs, mammoths, night raids.

Snowball Cannon

  • Damage: ~5 per snowball (wiki); player-tested ~7.
  • Ammo: 30 capacity, unlimited total (regenerates automatically; base ~24.5s full reload, Level 3 ~20s).
  • Fire Rate: High; hold to auto-fire (PC only; mobile inaccurate).
  • Range/Accuracy: Short-to-mid; projectiles arc with gravity, slight curve; inaccurate near obstacles, while moving, or on mobile.
  • DPS: ~8.5 base (player calc); high sustained due to fire rate and infinite ammo.
  • Examples: ~19 shots (3s) to kill alpha wolf; nearly kills bear at Level 3.

Compares to Raygun (15 DPS, infinite but bursts of 12); lower per-shot but sustained.

Strategies

  • Solo: Kite wolves/mammoths; burst, retreat to regen, repeat. Slow aids kiting; fight near campfires for instant cooking.
  • Team: Ranged DPS/support; call slows for melee synergy. Excels in events (e.g., Candy Cane grinding).
  • Farming Levels: Wolf packs (multi-hits), mammoths (high HP), night raids.
  • Tips: Hold fire for bursts; switch weapons for bosses/low ammo; mobile users avoid due to inaccuracy.

Strengths and Weaknesses

StrengthsWeaknesses
Infinite ammo/resource independenceLower burst DPS than Raygun/Laser
Sustained DPS/crowd control via slowProjectile inaccuracy (curve/gravity/mobile)
Warmth resistance for snowSlow base regen (improved L3)
Value at 80-100 Diamonds; fun for grindingNo night vision/speed (vs. Alien)
Effective solo/team/eventsSlow ineffective on bosses

Player consensus: Strong beginner/mid-game option, not “OP” or meta-top but above-average; overhyped initially.
