Weapons

Weapons are essential tools for survival in 99 Nights in the Forest, used for defending against hostile creatures like WolvesBears, and Cultists, as well as for hunting animals for resources. The arsenal is divided into melee weapons for close-quarters combat and ranged weapons for fighting from a safe distance.

How to Get Weapons

Unlike some tools, weapons are generally not crafted. They must be found or acquired through specific means:

  • Looting Points of Interest: Most weapons are found by searching chests in locations across the forest. High-tier locations like Barns and Ruined Houses have a better chance of containing powerful weapons.
  • Trading with the Pelt Trader: The Pelt Trader NPC may occasionally offer unique weapons, like the Katana, in exchange for valuable Pelts.
  • Crafting: The Spear is a notable exception, as it is a basic melee weapon that can be crafted early in the game.

Melee Weapons

Melee weapons are used for close-range combat and do not require ammunition, but they do have durability and will break after a certain number of uses.

  1. This wiki is wrong or old. spear has higher damage than katana. spear can’t craft. katana can’t trade with pelt trader. blow pipe is not melee. tactical shotgun has 3round. player gain 100 kunai.
